AJ recalled he and Curtis had to turn down television appearances together due to his hectic schedule on Strictly.
The dancer said: “There’s lots of things we had to turn down, which is very sad.
“But even in terms of shows before Curtis was in Love Island, I did Celebrity Hunted which I absolutely loved and I won, I will always remember that.
“I wanted to do it with Curtis but the TV show said, ‘Well no one will know who he is.’ So things like that now he’s got such a big public profile, the same as me, means we’ll be able to do work that we might not have been able to do before.”
