9am Chelsea transfer news LIVE: Hudson-Odoi fumes at Sarri as PSG circle, Kante too slow on ball

CALLUM HUDSON-ODOI is reportedly fuming with Maurizio Sarri after not playing a minute in Chelsea’s FA Cup loss against Man United.

With the team 2-0 down, fans at Stamford Bridge were stunned to see Davide Zappacosta come on ahead of the youth prospect.

And there could be a new name in the hunt for the Blues winger, with PSG reportedly set to battle Bayern Munich for his signature.

The Germans had a £35m bid for Hudson-Odoi rejected in January.

And Sarri has explained why he will not put N’Golo Kante back in his original defensive midfield role.

The former Napoli boss said: “In that position, I want a player able to move the ball very fast.

“This is not the best characteristic of N’Golo. N’Golo is very useful for us, but this one is not his best characteristic.”

He also defended repeatedly resorting to like-for-like changes regardless of the way the game is going.

Sarri said: “I know very well that when we’re losing, I have to put a striker on the pitch. When we’re winning, I have to put a defender on the pitch. But I want to see the football in another way.”
