8 Video Games You'll Want To Buy In October

October marks the start of the holiday (shopping) season, and video game publishers are preparing the release big, enticing titles to catch your eye.

At 14 titles, September’s games list was unusually large. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, for example, was a charming remake of the classic Game Boy adventure. Monster Hunter World got a beefy expansion with Iceborne, a game that introduced new monsters to hunt in a massive new region. Gears 5 and Borderlands 3 hit store shelves in September, too, delivering excellent shooting action.

October’s list is shorter but just as sweet. Nintendo Switch gets a lot of love this month, thanks to the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition. This acclaimed action-RPG comes with all previously released DLC. If you want a more whimsical RPG experience this month, check out Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout. Sure, the title is a mouthful, but the game is packed with chill exploration, intuitive item crafting, and cutesy monsters to hunt.

Have we piqued your interest? Read on to see what October has in store.
