10pm Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Ander Herrera, Suarez must play, Welbeck out for season

TREECE JOHN-JULES will be hoping he has done enough out in the UAE to force his way into the first team squad on a regular basis.

His goal in the comeback win over Al-Nasr will certainly have boosted his confidence, and the word is he has shown up well on the warm-weather training break.

Having only turned 18 in February, there is a lot of time left for the forward to develop his game – but there is no doubt he will have gained a lot training to the senior pros like Alaxandre Lacazette.

Gunners boss Emery has shown plenty of faith in youngsters already during his time in charge, and John-Jules looks another to have a chance.

But whether his opportunity will come this season remains open to debate, with Arsenal pushing to finish in the top four and also win the Europa League.

It could be that John-Jules will need to wait until pre-season to have a genuine push for the first team squad.
