Zoë Kravitz is not here for critics of her Met Gala dress.

The actor, 32, stunned at this year’s ball in a bedazzling Saint Laurent slip dress, designed by Anthony Vaccarello and covered in crystals, wearing only a matching silver thong underneath.

However, while many praised her sparkling look with left her derriere on full display, critics also took to social media to shame her ‘practically naked’ look.

One Instagram user wrote: ‘I don’t understand why they go practically naked.’

Referencing the Catwoman star specifically, they said: ‘She’s gorgeous. Why does she feel the need to wear a dress like this?’

But the High Fidelity star had no time for their negativity and was quick to shut down the comment in an exchange captured by the Instagram page Comments By Celebs

She responded: ‘Being uncomfortable with the human body is colonization / brainwashing. It’s just a body. We all got em [sic]’

Zoë’s gown was just one of countless bold looks from this year’s Met Gala.

Made from glittering YSL-emblem chains and accessorised with silver earrings and red nails, the Big Little Lies actor oozed elegance as she posed up a storm at the most prestigious event in the fashion calendar.

Also in attendance was Zoë’s rumoured boyfriend Channing Tatum, who looked suave in a classic black tuxedo by Donatella Versace.

The pair arrived separately but were seen leaving together before heading to Alicia Keys’ afterparty, where they partied until 6am.

This year’s Met Gala was delayed due to the pandemic and was turned into a two-part exhibit.

Organisers issued a vaccination mandate and mask requirement, meaning all guests were asked to wear masks indoors except when eating or drinking.

In America: A Lexicon of Fashion took place on September 18 to ‘celebrate The Costume Institute’s 75th anniversary and explore a modern vocabulary of American fashion.’

It will be followed by In America: An Anthology of Fashion on May 5, 2022, where a whole host of stars will no doubt pull out all the stops once more for the glamorous event.
