Zoe Ball: ‘You're giving away our ending' Strictly pros snap at DJ over Pasha Kovalev exit

Zoe Ball, 48, was joined in the BBC studios by Strictly Come Dancing professionals Giovanni Pernice, 28, Oti Mabuse, 28, and Dianne Buswell, 29. The trio chatted about their upcoming tour and spoke of their co-star Pasha Kovalev’s departure from the dancing show, who will bid a final farewell on the tour. However, the DJ and It Takes Two host speculated about how they would say goodbye to the BBC favourite but seemingly revealed too much. Speaking about his colleagues, dancer Giovanni spilled: “You know, it’s a nice group of people. We’re really close, we love each other.

“And yes, we’ll definitely miss Pasha because he’s been a big part of the show. We’re going to dance together on the pro-tour for the last dance.”

Zoe replied: “Ah… yes, he’s going on the tour, isn’t he? I hope you all lift him up at the end.”

Dianne quickly interjected: “Of course,” before she exclaimed: “You’re giving away our ending!”

The Australian native’s remark was met with chuckles from inside the studio, although nothing was confirmed.

It comes after the Russian dancer announced via his Twitter account he will be leaving Strictly Come Dancing after eight years on the show.

Pasha, who is in a relationship with Countdown star Rachel Riley, told his fans he wanted to find a “new challenge” and so decided to make last year’s Strictly his final one.

Meanwhile, the BBC Radio 2 host quickly moved on from the subject of Pasha to the trio’s romantic lives, starting with Dianne.

She asked: “How’s Joe?” referring to the red-haired beauty’s boyfriend Joe Sugg, who she met on the BBC series.

Dianne spilled: “Joe is doing very well. He’s missing dancing a lot.”

The YouTube sensation appeared on the BBC series of Strictly Come Dancing last year where he made it to the finals.

The radio DJ also quizzed Giovanni on his relationship with former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, 37, who was also a contestant on the show last year.

Seemingly coy, the Italian dancer stated: “She’s great.”

Elsewhere, Strictly judge Darcey Bussell revealed she will no longer be a panellist on the show.

The professional ballerina, who was a judge on the show for seven years, said she has left to focus on other work commitments.

She told her fans: “I have enjoyed every minute of my time and will miss everyone from my fellow judges, the presenters, the dancers, the musicians, the entire backstage team, and especially the viewers of the show, who have been so supportive.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
