Zendaya effortlessly rephrases gendered question about qualities she looks for in a man

Zendaya has thrilled fans after she corrected an interview question so it wouldn’t be gendered.

The Euphoria star is one of the celebrities featured on the latest cover of Vanity Fair magazine, and she took part in the publication’s Proust Questionnaire video series as part of the shoot.

The series sees each star answer 35 questions about their life and personality, and one question was: ‘What is the quality you most like in a man?’

The Spider-Man actress immediately rephrased it so the question was more inclusive as she replied: ‘I most like in a person, how about that?’

She then continued: ‘It’s such a big question. What is the quality I most like in someone? I would say, “kindness” is kind of not the best way to describe it, but some people are just good people, and you can just feel it.

‘And I don’t know how to explain that, but there’s this little spark they have, or this little special thing that they have, that just you feel safe and happy around them.’

The actor concluded: ‘I don’t know what that is, but some people have it, and it’s special.’

The follow-up question was then, ‘What is the quality you most like in a woman?’ to which Zendaya replied: ‘Well, I guess that’s the same answer.’

Fans loved the fact the actress changed the question to be more inclusive, with many flocking to share their thoughts on Twitter and in the YouTube comments.

In recent years, the Emmy-winner has been romantically linked to her Euphoria co-star Jacob Elordi, however, it is unknown whether the actor is currently in a relationship.
