Fans were also left in uproar after K-Pop boy band BTS lost out on their first Grammys win as Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga were announced the winners of the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
The fanbase known as “Army” blasted the “Scammys” on social media for “robbing” the seven-member band of their well-deserved award.
One wrote: “They fear talented & successful poc artists #scammys.”
“Dynamite by BTS topped every chart, broke every record possible, outsold every video, single, performance, and is STILL topping the charts as we speak. anyone can see how absolutely robbed they were of that award. and no i will not pretend it’s okay, it’s not,” another rages, echoing Zayn’s sentiments.
