Georgia-based restaurant chain Zaxby’s and the Misfits Gaming Group, owners of the Florida Mayhem (Overwatch League) and Florida Mutineers (Call of Duty League), announced that as part of its renewal of its previous partnership, the agreement will now include the Mutineers. The addition of the partnership with the Mutineers will bring Zaxby’s into the Call of Duty esports space which kicks off league play Thursday.
Financial details of the partnership were not released.
It was last year that the Florida Mayhem and Zaxby’s entered into its initial sponsorship deal that included the “Match Time Meal” activation along with online tailgating parties and custom content with the players.
Something new for this year that goes along with the partnership will be the addition of patches bearing the Zaxby’s logo being added to both of the team’s jerseys. Zaxby’s will continue its “Match Time Meal” activation with both teams, with additional support via the Zaxby’s mobile app.
Zaxby’s is a quick service restaurant enterprise best known for its chicken wings, chicken fingers and signature sauces.
