Zara just dropped its first ever lingerie collection and it’s a sleek and slinky comfort-lover’s dream

If our home-lived lives have taught us one thing, it’s surely the mood-boosting power of a really great set of PJs, a 10/10 tracksuit or a really silky pair of pants, and with a second European lockdown looming, there’s never been a better time to invest.

It comes as welcome news then that today Zara has branched into the last clothing category it had never touched, with the launch of its first ever lingerie collection.

Entitled Female Gaze, the 91-piece collection features an extensive roster of pants and bras, silk pyjamas, bodies, robes, scarves and eye masks in night-time blacks and dark chocolate browns, plus more ‘daywear’ pieces like t-shirts, shirts, knits and cashmere socks in neutral tones of nude, silver, grey, soft brown and blush pink.

The entire collection, which was captured in a series of black and white portraits by photographer Annemarieke Van Drimmelen, was “designed and crafted from the starting point of ultimate comfort,” and is constructed using silk, alpaca, wool, cotton and light and airy tulles “for a fluid, ethereal and natural sensuality,” said the brand in a statement.

Not only are there super fine tees and ribbed cardis with excellent chilly dark morning appeal and a black silky PJ set that would look great paired with heels and bling for date night, but also the lacy underwear is some of the sexiest and chicest we’ve seen on the high street. And with prices starting at £9.99, these are undies that cost little more than what your office-going alter ego used to spend on a Pret lunch.
