Zac Efron was seen holding hands with Vanessa Valladares as they enjoyed a lunch date in Byron Bay, Australia.

The two were spotted together at the The Farm restaurant hub as they picked up some takeaway food.

The actor appeared to be in good spirits, wearing a cream-coloured t-shirt paired with shorts, trainers and a baseball cap, while Vanessa sported a mini skirt with a blue buttoned shirt and sandals.

The pair were seen happily chatting and smiling as they walked through the restaurant hub grounds.

Although they looked quite close together, they could be nothing more than just good friends who are simply enjoying each other’s company.

Zac, 32, was said to have met Vanessa in July while she was working as a waitress in Byron Bay.

It’s been reported that she has since quit her job and is said to have been staying with the actor at Belongil beach.

Last week, they were spotted together at Ballina airport, after returning from a skiing holiday in Thredbo.

Prior to Vanessa, Zac dated actress Vanessa Hudgens after they met on the set of High School Musical in 2005, with the couple splitting in 2010.

He later began dating model and entrepreneur Sami Miro in September 2014, although they broke up in April 2016.

It had previously been reported that Zac, who had been staying in Byron Bay during the coronavirus pandemic, wanted to move to Australia permanently.

Sources told TMZ that Zac is ‘planning to list his Los Angeles home in the near future’ and has been ‘burnt out living in and around Hollywood’.

Zac had also hinted at possibly leaving Hollywood behind in an episode of his Netflix travel series Down To Earth.

During a visit to Sardinia, the star told his travel pal, wellness guru Darin Olien, that he needed to ‘get out of Hollywood’.

He explained: ‘I’m definitely looking at my life a whole new way.

‘I gotta get out of Hollywood, I’m done. It’s not a place conducive to living a long, happy, mentally-sound life.’
