Yvette Fielding: Most Haunted star speaks out on doll bursting into flames ‘Terrifying’

Yvette Fielding, 51, has been a firm fixture in paranormal TV since 2002, and over the years, the star has experienced a number of terrifying moments. One of those includes a time when a doll burst into flames when they left it in a haunted house.

Speaking about the most scariest object she has ever come across, Yvette told Express.co.uk: “I would say it was the doll we had, we placed it in an old farm house that no one has been able to visit since the 1970s as there had been numerous murders there.

“Upstairs in the attic room, there’s voices of children laughing and singing so we thought well actually lets use a doll as a trigger object for the children, they might move it.”

She continued: “So we placed this doll, it’s on YouTube, put a camera in front of it, left the camera rolling for a couple of hours, and we actually captured it burst into flames for no reason whatsoever.

“An hour later, Carl, the producer and director, his arm went up in flames as well which was absolutely terrifying, really frightening.”

Yvette revealed she missed out on meeting the Scotsman as she was too nervous.

“I had the chance to meet him but I bottled it,” she spilled. “I had a proper fan girl moment and I said ‘I can’t, I can’t!’ because I’ve known him in my life since I was a little girl.

“So, for me I would love to take him by the hand and lead him into a haunted house together.

“And, I will say ‘now listen to this knocking,’ and he will be able to feel it under his feet.”

Impersonating Billy’s accent, she continued: “And, he will go ‘oh my god, it’s real, it’s real!”

She added: “I would love it.”

Yvette said: “I would love to meet him, he should be our Prime Minister, he would sort everything out.”

The presenter has teamed up with eBay as they compiled a list of the top five haunted items on sale.
