YouTubers Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau ‘take a break’ six months after Las Vegas wedding

YouTuber Jake Paul has revealed he and his new “wife” are “going on a break” less than six months after tying the knot.

The vlogger, 22, and fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau, 21, got married in July last year.

The pair had their ceremony – which wasn’t legally binding – in Las Vegas.

Confirming the split on Instagram, Paul wrote: “As Tana and I sit next to each other writing captions about taking a break, we’re literally laughing at how crazy and stupid the past couple months have been and cracking jokes at how silly this all seems.

“I’m keeping custody of Thor [their pet dog] but Tana unfortunately gets my Lamborghini I wouldn’t change anything that happened.

“We’re best friends and right now it’s best for us to focus on our lives & see what the future holds. He added: “(P.s our friends started playing sad music while we were writing these captions and we all started laughing our asses off. This is bittersweet but it’s what’s best for us right now)

“The last thing we wanna see is fan pages speculating ‘what happened’ we truly just need a second to focus on our own lives and ourselves. Luv u Mongeau.”

She echoed his sentiments, adding: “I’ll never know what the future holds and I will always love Jake and everything we did. I’m grateful to know throughout this I’ve made a best friend for life & found someone to do life with when no one understood me.”

Mongeau previously said the pair found marriage difficult but were determined to make it work.

She told the Zach Sang Show: “We were both like, oh my god, let’s get married, and then we got married and we thought – what is married life to us?

“Neither of us really realistically fit into the place of where we’re married right now, we’re just dizzy as f*** and decided to do it.”

She added: “It’s hard. It’s really, really hard and we both came to this stop where we were like, ‘what do we do now?’ But in the regard of you asking if it’s forever, I’ll always love him forever, I’ll always have a special place in my heart for this time in my life. If I’m happy as I am and was in that moment then then yeah, let’s ride it out.”
