Manny MUA has opened up about the drama surrounding the YouTube beauty community, insisting that the ‘era’ has run its course.

The beauty community has had its fair share of drama, from the infamous Tati Westbrook and James Charles feud, to Manny and Jeffree Star publicly having their differences.

However, chatting to Metro.co.uk at VidCon London, Manny insisted that the drama is all in the past.

‘I think that people are kind of over the drama, I think they’ve just over that whole drama era,’ he pointed out. ‘I feel like it’s about uplifting and doing more for your fellow creator, rather than trying to tear them down.

‘And I think that it just takes time. Obviously people love to go through, like, the ebbs and flows of YouTube and drama and they kind of want to see something through and they want to see people get torn down, but they want to see them rise up too.’

The 28-year-old pointed out: ‘It’s kind of like a movie, even though it’s like people’s real lives. Drama is fun to watch, but it involves real people.

‘You forget they’re a human being that really has real feelings [and it has] a real impact on them, you know? So I think that it’s getting to a much better place.’

Manny’s always been open with his YouTube fans. Just recently, he opened up about his past issues with fellow star Tati Westbrook, revealing that they’re now in a much better place.

However, when it comes to what to share and what to keep private, he’s never been too sure.

‘It’s such a hard thing to do,’ he pointed out. ‘Because I live my life online.

‘I like what I do as a creator, but you know, I still am Manny MUA, but I still have Manny, that’s my real life.

‘It’s honestly like, I don’t really even have a formula for it. It’s something I always struggle with all the time.

‘Sometimes I’m like, “F**k did I share too much?” [or] “Am I sharing enough?” It’s kind of a weird thing, but I think you just go with your heart and go with your gut and if I feel really inclined to share something then I will, and if I don’t like sharing it then I won’t.’

Manny is currently attending VidCon London, with him explaining that the event is ‘important for the connections that people make.’

He added: ‘I feel like it’s so easy to just think something’s a number. To put a face to that person is so important, I feel like just to have that connection [and] meet people, I feel like it makes it more real and so much more tangible.’
