The Youtube icon reportedly died following a paragliding accident. The Youtube star is best known for creating the series King of random. His family confirmed the news following a crash near Sand Hallow State Park.
According to TMZ, Grant’s brother had confirmed that he had gone paragliding on Monday night.
However, the Youtube star never returned.
Grant’s brother also confirmed that the authorities found his body on Tuesday.
Following the news of his unfortunate passing, Youtube released a statement where they sent their condolences to the family.
The statement read: “We’re deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of Grant Thompson, a gifted, passionate and endlessly curious creator.
“We send our deepest condolences to his loving family, The King of Random team and fans.”
Grant began his channel in 2010.
He started the channel to show his experiments and life hacks.
Eventually, it went to gain 11 million subscribers and almost 2.5 billion views.
