JUAN FAMILIO-CASTILLO wants to stick around at Chelsea now Frank Lampard is set to take over.
The 19-year-old winger is out of contract at the end of June but is now prepared to discuss a new deal.
Familio-Castillo, 19, has risen through the ranks at Cobham winning the FA Youth Cup and featuring in back-to-back UEFA Youth League finals.
But his progress has not resulted in any Chelsea first-team action.
Chelsea are set to pay Derby £4million in compensation for Lampard to replace Maurizio Sarri.
But with Lampard taking over alongside Jody Morris who he worked with for four years, Familio-Castillo thinks he may now get a genuine chance to impress, according to the Daily Mail.
Lampard’s arrival with Morris is likely to have a positive impact on a host of young stars at Stamford Bridge who thought their first-team chances may have been limited under Sarri.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Andreas Christensen and Callum Hudson-Odoi still need to be convinced their long-term future is in West London.
Hudson-Odoi is recovering from an Achilles injury with another year to run on his contract and is still a target for Bayern Munich.
And with the club banned from signing new players Kurt Zouma, Mason Mount and Reece James are expected to be given a chance to stake a claim for first team football under the new regime.
