With every new season comes not only a new wardrobe (or, at least, a few new pieces), but also one or two items that become so popular that they quickly adopt ‘cult’ status.
One brand particularly well-versed in the art of designing such popular products is Marks and Spencer. Whether it’s a Percy Pig or a pink coat, M&S knows what its audience wants before we even know we want it.
And apparently this season we’ll all be wanting fuss-free, flowy dresses with hemlines that fall strictly at mid-calf and below.
While there are several belters, it’s the pure cotton midi shirt dress that we’re predicting will be a sell-out.
Not only a flattering shape, this dress is also bang-on-trend in terms of its colourway, making use of the fashion set’s newfound fondness for all things neutral and earthy.
We’re officially dubbing it the dress of the season. You know the ones… three people wear it in the office on the same day and every other picture on your Instagram feed features it.
For those of us who don’t mind #twinning, it’s great. For those of you that do, we’d recommend snapping it up before everyone else catches on.
