WHAT’S IT LIKE? Just over the road from Marwell Zoo, it has the feel of an African safari lodge.
It’s a wooden and glass structure surrounded by woodland and very child-friendly.
It had such a relaxed atmosphere and nothing was too much for big or small guests.
ROOMS ANY GOOD? There are 68 spacious rooms and our superior room had woodland views and a small balcony.

EAT HERE OR GRAB A PIZZA? You can eat in The Dining Room and the lounge and bar, which are less formal.
We opted for a meal at the bar. On offer are pub favourites and more, including curry, tagliatelle and risotto.
There’s a kids’ menu and complimentary Ella’s Kitchen baby food.
WHAT ELSE? It has a great swimming pool and is handy for Paulton’s Park, The Adventure Barn and the zoo – which is a must-visit.
SO YOU’D GO BACK? Absolutely. It was great.
