Netflix has officially confirmed the third season of You

Netflix bosses have confirmed that the show will return to screens next year in 2021.

The second season of the show saw Joe move from New York to Los Angeles to escape his past and starting over with a new identity.

After murdering ex Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), the last thing he expects is to meet an incredible new woman.

However again he falls hard for Love, with more drama unfolding for Joe yet again.

The confirmation comes after Gossip Girl star Penn, 33, accidentally confirmed there would be a season 3 back in December.

Discussing Love in an interview at the time, Penn said: “She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of person.

“She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of predator.”

He continued telling ET interviewer Lauren Zima: “She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of… you know, dare I say, in the third season – oh, God!”

The show is based on the books You and Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes, with the series produced by Berlanti Productions, and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television.
