You season 2: Netflix fans in meltdown as show returns on Boxing Day


Netflix fans had a treat waiting for them this Boxing Day as season 2 of thriller series You was released.

The US show, which follows creepy serial killer Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) was a smash hit with fans when released last year.

And viewers have been itching to find out what happens next after Joe literally got away with murder.

Many went online today today to say that they were spending their day binging the series as it was released at 8am.

One Twitter user wrote: “Still drunk-ish, but time to binge season 2 of #YouNetflix.”

The second series of You dropped on Netflix at 8am on Boxing Day

While another exclaimed: “Oh my f**king God, it’s s finally here! Binging is to commence the moment I tweet this tweet! #YouNetflix.”

A third chimed in: “Watching #YouNetflix Joe is back.”

While a fourth added: “Let’s go You season 2 is out! #YouNetflix.”

The last series saw Joe fall in love with his bookstore customer Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail).

However, he quickly developed an extreme, toxic and delusional obsession, which ended in murder.

Season two will see Joe relocate from New York to Los Angeles as he attempts to make a fresh start.

Fans of the show can’t wait to find out what creepy Joe does next

However, will his old habits come back and will his secrets become uncovered?

At the end of season one, viewers saw Joe’s ex-girlfriend Candace (Ambyr Childers) return after it was revealed she is miraculously still alive (in the book she dies after Joe drowns her).

Meanwhile there is a new beauty at risk from Joe – Love Quinn – played by The Haunting of Hill House star Victoria Pedretti.

She is described as “an aspiring chef working as a produce manager in a high-end grocery store”, and Joe’s new love interest.

Joe has a new love interest – Love Quinn – but will she survive?

Unfortunately for Joe, she doesn’t care about social media, which is going to make his stalking life harder.

Love is also “tending to a deep grief”, which means she and Joe bond over their “shared knowledge of profound loss”.

We can’t wait to see how things pan out.
