You can now watch Fresh, starring Sebastian Stan & Daisy Edgar-Jones, on Disney+

Disney+ is the most exciting new streaming service launched in the UK earlier this year. It acts as the ultimate antidote to Coronavirus-induced stress, offering viewers an entire programme of films and Disney+ TV shows and documentaries to enjoy for just £7.99 per month.

Disney+ might no longer offering a 7-day free trial to all new customers, but signing up is still well worth the investment.

When is Fresh on Disney+ UK?

Why are we telling you about Disney Plus now? Only because one of the most exciting films of this year to date, Fresh, is out now on the streaming service.

A directorial debut for Mimi Cave, Fresh is a film about “The horrors of modern dating seen through one young woman’s defiant battle to survive her new boyfriend’s unusual appetites.” Social media reception has included statements such as “What did I just watch?”.

As those who’ve had a chance to see the film already will know, this is something of an understatement – but nevertheless it’s a much-watch if you can stomach it, with superb acting from Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar-Jones.

It was released on 18 Match 2022 for your viewing pleasure (well – gory fascination, whatever you call it…) so if you don’t already have a subscription, you’ll definitely want to sign up.

What are the best films to watch on Disney Plus?

Once you’ve watched Fresh, top up your popcorn ‘cos there are plenty of other great films on Disney+ to feast your eyes on. In celebration of the brilliant content on offer, we’ve whittled down Disney’s entire catalogue of films to 44 of the best.

You can watch one of the most celebrated animated films in recent years, Encanto, a magical-realism movie set in Colombia; the fantastic Cruella starring Emma Stone; Sebastian Stan (again!) and Lily James starring in Pam & Tommy; and Marvel Studios favourites like Eternals and WandaVision

There’s also critically-acclaimed film favourites like 2020’s Nomadland, Nightmare Alley and The Last Duel starring Jodie Comer.

There’s also a host of reboots, like the 2019 remake of The Lion King starring
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Seth Rogan, and 2019’s Dumbo. Obsessed. There’s also classics like Snow White (throwing it right the way back to 1938) and The Little Mermaid (1990). Once you’ve made your way through that lot, enjoy the likes of The Lizzie McGuire Movie, High School Musical, The Parent Trap and 10 Things I Hate About You. Oh, and let’s not forget the likes of Frozen, Moana and the recently-dropped Hamilton The Musical. We’ll be signing along right to the bitter end.

Want more? We’ve also rounded up the best TV shows and documentaries on Disney+, from That’s So Raven to The Simpsons.
