The Terry’s Chocolate Orange has been around for nearly 90 years and while some don’t want to mess with a classic, others might think it’s time to mix it up.
For those who sit in the later camp, you can now get your hands on a toffee version of the treat.
Instagram foodie page @newfoodsuk flagged the flavour and fans were excited to try.
The post explained: ‘What’s better than a Terry’s Chocolate Orange? Terry’s Chocolate Orange with Toffee Pieces in it!’
You get all the taste of the original with an occasional burst of toffee sweetness.
The bad news is that it’s actually a Canadian treat and isn’t made in the UK – but there are some sites importing the oranges to sell here.
You can get one from Mrs P’s Corner Shop, GB gifts or The Snack Chest here.
Sadly as it’s imported, the price is much higher than the £2 you’d expect to pay for the standard version in a supermarket.
The cheapest is GB gifts at £4.99, followed by Mrs P charging £5.50 and The Snack Chest is selling the oranges for £7.50.
If you’re willing to pay the higher price, the New Foods UK team does say it’s ‘so good’.
Others commented on the post to say they wanted to order one.
One said: ‘This sounds lush.’
Another added: ‘I will be on the lookout.’
Referring to an earlier limited edition flavour, someone else wrote: ‘Surely this can’t beat the white one?’
Others said the treat looked perfect to bake with. One commented said: ‘errrrmmmmmm 10/10 brownie ingredient here.’
