As the prequel series was filmed in late 2021 the couple celebrated their 25th anniversary on set, which Hill explained their “big celebration” featured her “hauling a** in a carriage through a river.”
McGraw shared he’d enjoyed watching his wife as he recalled and joked about a scene: “We had this scene where she had to slap me.
“I was expecting a finger slap but it was a paw to the jaw, there was 25 years of pent-up aggression going on!”
“When you see it on screen, you realise it was a genuine hit,” the actor added.
Thankfully, fans will be able to see more of the couple as they will return on screens later this week.
Y 1883 continues on Sunday, January 30, on Paramount in America. A UK release date hasn’t been announced.
