Xbox Live WARNING: Last chance to download Gold Xbox One free games bonus

There is still time to test out the latest Xbox One free games on offer from the Microsoft Store this weekend.

There’s a large selection to choose from, but only one will remain playable after 9am on Monday, November 11.

And for this weekend only, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download and play The Surge and Cities Skylines at no extra charge.

But these aren’t the only titles available to test out, with the popular Bethesda MMO, Elder Scrolls Online available to play for free too.

These deals were revealed earlier this week by Microsoft and include some great news for fans.

Not only do you have full access to the base games, but fans can also grab discounts on each title.

Each game has seen at least 50% taken off the full digital price, with The Surge dropping to just $4.99.

Another bonus from the weekend action is that Xbox One gamers can keep all the progress they’ve made during the demo.

This means you can carry on your adventures if you decide to upgrade to the full version.

The only downside is that The Surge and Cities Skylines are set to end their free trials early on Monday morning.

Microsoft has confirmed via a new blog post that they will remain playable until 8am, GMT, on November 11.

But the same deal hasn’t been put in place for Elder Scrolls Online, which is set to remain free to play for a little longer.

Tamriel Unlimited has proven popular with MMO fans and has a free trial that will last until November 13, 2019.

Bethesda says that this new free version will go offline at around 3pm on Wednesday, meaning there’s still plenty of time to jump in and experience ESO.

The ESO dev team has also confirmed that there will be plenty of bonuses available to those who download the game this weekend.

“If you’ve played ESO during a previous free play event, you can continue your adventures, and all new ESO accounts created will also receive 500 crowns to spend in the in-game Crown Store,” a message from Bethesda reads.

“Note that Xbox Live Gold is required to play on Xbox One. With access to the ESO base game, you can begin your adventure by creating characters in four of the game’s classes (Nightblade, Templar, Dragonknight, and Sorcerer), exploring 23 unique zones, and taking on the game’s main questline, Mages and Fighters Guild storylines, and much more.

“How you play is completely up to you—it’s your story! In addition to this, you’ll also get access to the Morrowind zone and story, allowing you to discover the home of the Dark Elves.

“Once the event begins, visit our Free Play page to select your platform and begin your adventure.

“Your progress will carry over if you decide to buy the full game. The Free Play event ends on November 13 at 10:00AM EST. A whole world of adventure awaits.”

But while fans are getting free Crowns to spend in the store, it won’t be enough to buy the new Dragonhold DLC.

The new content released today costs 2,000 Crowns but the free Crowns made available can be spent on other things, such as mounts and other cosmetics.

Games with Gold fans can also download the latest free games on offer in November.

This includes Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, which is available to download now, and The Final Station, which arrives on the 16th.
