Xbox Live users frustrated as servers go down leaving players unable to sign in

Xbox Live players found themselves unable to sign in over the weekend as the servers went down.

Anyone attempting to play games on Sunday night were unable to so so due to outages on the Xbox online service.

This is likely to be unwelcome news to anyone set to go into self-isolation amid the coronavirus outbreak unless a solution is found ASAP.

Xbox confirmed there were experiencing technical difficulties and that they were looking into what had gone wrong.

They also asked players to keep checking in to their official Twitter account for updates on the situation.

Don’t panic – we have a feeling this won’t derail your self-isolation for too long.

Players were updated via a tweet on the support page which read: ‘We understand some users may be experiencing errors with sign in or matching making on Xbox Live, and are currently investigating. Please check back here for details.’

‘Pay all that money for Xbox live and every other time I go on it the servers are down. ridiculous (sic)’ one user fumed on Twitter.

Explaining what users were seeing as they tried to access it, one player tweeted: ‘Is @xbox down right now? I can’t get signed in to Xbox live at all. The loading ring keeps spinning and spinning and then a message comes up saying to try again later.’

‘It was a fun apocalypse until the Xbox Live servers went down’ a further comment read.

Another player raged: ‘How am I supposed to get through 2 weeks of quarantine if @Xbox Live is down?’
