WWE’s Big Show wants Firefly Funhouse feud with Bray Wyatt

The Big Show made his WWE return after WrestleMania 36 went off the air – and he’s had his say on one of the weekend’s most surreal moments.

The Firefly Funhouse match saw John Cena enter “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt’s world as his life and career got disected by the sinister character, and now the World’s Largest Athlete has put himself forward as a possible future opponent.

He told Metro.co.uk: ‘For that to come full circle and tell that story, and take the fans on this incredible journey of what might have been, of what could be, and John Cena to basically go through hell and live his worst nightmare – it showed his talent and dedication.

‘It was great for Bray. I think it opened a door to be more entertaining in so many different ways. I know I would sign up for the same kind of programme if I was working with Bray Wyatt!

‘I would definitely sign up to have my mind picked apart! I think it would be very entertaining to go through that and do that tortured perspective of trying to convey the hurt, pain and frustration!’

The 48-year-old legend – who is starring in new Netflix comedy The Big Show Show – was a huge fan of the way WWE pushed the boundaries with both the Firefly Funhouse and Boneyard match, with the latter featuring Undertaker and AJ Styles.

‘They’re very intriguing, but they’re also very risky. It’s very high risk, high reward because you don’t know if the audience is going to be receptive to the stories that you’re trying to tell,’ he explained.

‘Will they understand where you’re coming from? Will they enjoy it? I know this for a fact, from years of experience. You try one thing in Georgia that works fantastic, and you go to London, England, it doesn’t work.

‘Different audiences, different opinions. I was blown away by the out of the box thinking, the creativity, the way they were able to highlight the talent in those respective matches.’

A storyline between Big Show and Bray Wyatt isn’t as far fetched as some fans might think, with the former world champion raring to go.

He said: ‘My role has changed to where I@m not in the trenches anymore.

‘I come around once in a while, I can help a talent in the ring, or maybe I can put another talent over – maybe I can be a surprise. I’m wide open for whatever.’
