Alexa Bliss is living the dream right now after Bowling For Soup released their new hit single written all about her – and it turns out she even features on the song.

The WWE superstar has made no secret about the fact the pop punk legends are her favourite ever band, and just last week she appeared in their latest music video – but the fun doesn’t end there.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Alexa – who even lends her name to the track – said: ‘I’m actually on the track! Yes! It’s very hard to hear, but when they say “Her favourite song is Girl All The Bad Guys Want”, I say “What’s a two-way?” So yeah, I’m technically on it!’

It’s a very subtle – but wonderful – nod to the Grammy Award-winning group’s beloved 2002 hit, which just so happens to be Little Miss Bliss’ favourite song ever since she first heard the album Drunk Enough To Dance.

‘I listened to [the album] growing up – you know, Girl All The Bad Guys Want has always been my favourite song,’ she added. ‘I think I was in middle school, and I’d be getting ready in the mirror, crimping my hair, listening to Bowling For Soup. I’d have the CD just playing on repeat.

‘I remember the first concert I went to, my parents’ friends had won a concert ticket on the radio and they knew I was a huge Bowling For Soup fan, so they brought me along.

‘It was the coolest night of my life, as a teenager. I bought their shirt at that concert, and I was wearing for it any and every photoshoot I could when I started bodybuilding – that was my go to shirt.’

The whole project came about after Alexa revealed her loved for the band in an interview, which led to frontman Jaret Reddick getting in touch as a genuine friendship grew.

Fast forward to last year’s Summerslam in Toronto, and the former women’s champ – who turned 28 on August 9, two days before the huge event – received an amazing birthday present from her hero.

‘Jaret texted me like “Hey, Happy Birthday! I have a little something I’ve been working on but I thought I would send it to you for your birthday,” ‘ she revealed. ‘He sent me the song – and I freaked out, it was so cool! I actually still have the video of my reaction to it!’

Bowling For Soup x Alexa Bliss is the collaboration we never knew we needed

The big question for fans now is whether we’ll ever see her enter the ring to the song itself – or even if Bowling For Soup could perform it live at this year’s WrestleMania in Tampa.

‘I mean, I would love for that! Any opportunity to be able to have my favourite band playing a song about me at WrestleMana would be incredible,’ Alexa admitted.

‘I don’t know what I’m doing at WrestleMania, but it’s definitely something I’m going to throw out into the universe!’

While life as a WWE superstar is a whirlwind in and of itself, where the extraordinary becomes your day-to-day, Alexa has still found the entire experience so surreal, given her lifelong love for the group.

‘Oh, 100%! I’ve had a lot of amazing moments in WWE. I’ve been very fortunate with the opportunities I’ve been given. I’ve gone to WrestleMania as champion for my first two WrestleManias, hosted my third, I’ve done a lot in WWW,’ she said.

‘Bowling For Soup was my favourite, favourite, favourite band – still is – growing up, they were the first concert I went to before I moved to WWE. I went to saw them at the Basement in Columbus the day before I moved to Tampa for WWE. It’s kinda cool how it’s all come together!’
