Worst video games ever?: The 10 worst PS4 games have been ranked – GIVEMESPORT

The PlayStation 4 is arguably the greatest console of all time and has delivered some absolute classic games.

The likes of Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto V and Persona 5 Royal will always rustle up joyful memories for gamers.

But it’s delivered its share of duds too.

So let’s take a look at the worst ever PS4 games, according to Metacritic.

10: Dawn of Fear
Metascore rating: 33/100

9: Weeping Doll
Metascore: 32/100

8: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5
Metascore: 32/100

7: Dino Dini’s Kick Off Revival
Metascore: 31/100

Air Conflicts: Vietnam Ultimate Edition promises players an ‘emotionally charged storyline’ as they ‘take to the skies above Vietnam and fly for both sides of this explosive conflict’. In reality, what it actually delivers is a poor flight simulator game with PS2-era graphics and creaky controls.

4: The Quiet Man
Metascore: 28/100

This ‘immersive, story driven, cinematic action experience’ from Square Enix appeared to offer something unique in the gaming world – you play as a deaf character, experiencing the world as he does. However, this resulted in an experience that, coupled with poorly-executed combat a pretentious plot, left players frustrated and, ultimately, disappointed.

3: Basement Crawl
Metascore: 27/100

Basement Crawl’s ‘Bomberman inspired mechanics’ resulted in a bizarre Bomberman rip-off that failed to deliver anywhere near enough of the promised ‘horror-based graphics and themes’.

Developer Bloober Team may have gone on to give us the likes of 2016’s Layers of Fear and 2017’s Observer, but this is a low-priced indie game that critics described as unfinished at launch and that hasn’t improved with age.

2: Road Rage
Metascore: 26/100

Road Rage’s open-world motorcycle combat would have conjured images of a modern day Road Rash in many a gamer’s mind.

However, its dull storyline, frustrating missions and mediocre graphics ensure that it shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same breath as the early-90s classic.

1: Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma Volume 1
Metascore: 21/100

This much-anticipated sequel to Afro Samurai gave players the opportunity to ‘head out on a journey of redemption, driven by bitter-sweet revenge’ as they followed the path of Kuma, one of Afro’s closest childhood friends. In doing so, what they discovered was a technical mess that meant the game’s planned follow-ups got cancelled by publishers Versus Evil, and for good reason.
