WorldGaming Network to Host $230K NA Finals for WESG 2019-2020

WorldGaming Network (WGN) announced today that it will host the North American Regional Finals for the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) 2019-2020 competition.

This will be the second straight year that WGN hosts the North American event, which will include competitions for both the United States and Canada. The event, which is held in partnership with WESG parent company Alibaba Sports, will take place on Dec. 7-8.

North American players will compete for $230K USD, with online qualifiers running between Oct. 12-27. This year’s games include Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (both men’s and women’s competitions), Dota 2, StarCraft II, and eFootball PES 2020 (Pro Evolution Soccer).

The winning American and Canadian players and teams will go on to compete at the WESG 2019-2020 Grand Final in Chongqing, China, in March 2020, with $5.5M to be awarded globally across the entire competition.
