World War Three: Essential action to take during nuclear warfare amid USA and Iran tension

World War Three is an ever present threat, with current political bad feeling between the USA and Iran causing fears of nuclear warfare to spike. Previously, Express.co.uk reported on the warning signs of nuclear warfare after experts warned a nuclear attack between the states could last “decades.” Today, these concerns were heightened after US President Donald Trump made some very bold claims about the state. His words no doubt deepened the bitter tension with Iran after claiming the US would respond with “great force” if Tehran attempted anything against Washington’s interest in the Middle East.

Talking of Iran, he stated: “With Iran, we’ll see what happens.

“But they’ve been very hostile. They’ve truly been the No.1 provocateur of terror.

“I think Iran would be making a very big mistake if they did anything.

“If they do something, it will be met with great force but we have no indication that they will.”

For Britons fearing the worst, website ready.gov has issued safe advice on how to deal with an attack and what to do while it is occurring.

They state: “Stay inside for 24 hours unless local authorities provide other instructions.

“Family should stay where they are inside. Reunite later to avoid exposure to dangerous radiation. Keep your pets inside.”

Meanwhile, they insisted it was important for Britons to stay well connected to the outside world and media, in order to know when it is safe to emerge.

They advised: Stay tuned. Tune into any media available for official information such as when it is safe to exit and where you should go.

“Battery operated and hand crank radios will function after a nuclear detonation.

“Cell phone, text messaging, television, and internet services may be disrupted or unavailable.”

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the President ramped up the pressure on Iran, claiming if the US were to strike it would be the “end” of the Middle Eastern country.

But Iran responded by saying “economic terrorism” and “genocidal taunts” wouldn’t finish the nation.

Express.co.uk has previously revealed the safest bunker locations for Britons to escape to in the event of conflict.

Meanwhile, addressing the WW3 potential, Foad Izadi, professor of political communication at the University of Tehran, added that should the Saudis get involved in US-Iran warfare, they would want to fight Iran “to the last American soldier”.

He said a US-Iran war could have a “lasting effects for decades”.

He also said: “The US military is larger than Iran’s military, but Iran showed in the eight years of the Iran-Iraq war that the Iranian people are resilient.

“They may be weaker in terms of military capability, but they are stronger in terms of resilience against foreign interference.”
