Woman turns down date as she has to study – then he starts sending vile messages

A woman has revealed how a man called her a “disgusting fat pig” after she politely declined his offer of a date.

Ebonie Sanderson has gone viral on social media after sharing the disgusting messages she was sent by a Tinder match named Tom, who is thought to live in Sydney, Australia.

The 26-year-old told the man she wasn’t able to meet up with him as she was busy studying and didn’t want to waste his time.

He clearly didn’t handle the rejection well and proceeded to send a number of voice messages to Ebonie, telling her she was “fat”, “f**king ugly” and only good for “one f**k”.

If this weren’t enough, he also sent vile messages to her via numerous other social media platforms and when she blocked him, she claims he made more accounts to continue the abuse.

The messages were later uploaded to Instagram by Ebonie, as a warning to other women to stay away from him.

Alongside her post, she wrote: “This is what happens when you say NO or call out a man for being disrespectful!!!

“You apparently earn yourself the right to get verbally abused and fat shamed on more than one platform. No I didn’t ‘ask for it’ and yes, I’m entitled to change my mind and tell someone I’m not interested anymore because I feel uncomfortable and intimidated by ones aggressive and forceful nature.

“The worst part about this attack, is the fact that I felt the need to be nice when turning him down, telling him he’s good looking and will find someone else for the night and then apologising for feeling uncomfortable!!!! THAT IS A BIG PROBLEM.

“If anyone comes across this man on dating apps or social media, please report him.

“All I can say is what a privileged misogynistic PIG.”

Her post went viral, with many people quickly uncovering the man’s full name and finding out where he worked so they could report his disturbing behaviour to his boss.

Ebonie shared an update on Instagram thanking people for their support and claiming that Tom had since lost his job.

She wrote: “An email from Tom’s CEO has been received confirming that he has been fired, effective immediately. The CEO did the right thing and acted quickly, so I kindly ask you to stop emailing them.”

According to news.com.au Tinder are also thought to have taken swift action, removing Tom’s profile from the app.

A spokesperson told the publication: “We take the safety and security of our members very seriously and have a zero-tolerance policy for online harassment.

“The profile in question was removed from Tinder after being reported.”

Ebonie added that she was not the only woman who had been targeted by this man, as a number of others had come forward to share their own stories about him.

“There are now well over 20 women that have come forward and shared their similar experience/encounters of abuse and harassment from Tom.”
