BABY-PROOFING your home is perhaps one of the less glamorous aspects of parenting, but when it comes to our children, safety is paramount.
From cabinet locks to baby gates, baby-proofing your house can start even before your bundle of joy crawls or even arrives.
And now a savvy TikTok user has shared how to secure your house in seconds using an empty baby wipe packet if you’re stuck for a socket protector.
YouTuber Sushil Brahmbhatt posted the video on the TikTok last April, which has been viewed 2.4million times.
The short video captioned, “Try for babies protection and safety”, the Indian-based influencer removing the plastic lid from an empty packet of baby wipes.
Popping the lid off, she applied super glue to each side of the cover before she placed it over her chosen socket for hazard limitations.
Once the glue sets, she showed that you can still open the lid to access the socket but it’s now protected from little hands while you wait your socket protectors.
The video received a string of comments with many branding her hack an “awesome idea”.
One followers wrote: “Superb idea”.
“Thanks, I wanted to do this but was confused how to do,” another shared. “Good innovative idea thumbs up”.
A fourth wrote: “I was looking for something like that. Thanks a ton for this hack”.
