Follow all the action live as Manchester United travel to Wolves with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side looking to build on their spectacular thrashing of Chelsea last weekend.
After a tense opening, Anthony Martial gave United the lead after 27 minutes with a brilliant left-footed finish into the top corner.
However, moments after Raul Jimenez’s header rattled the inside of the post, Ruben Neves scored a spectacular long-range goal, clipping the underside of the crossbar en route, to put the score on level terms and momentum heavily swung in the home side’s favour. Follow all the action live:

Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka combine tidily and the latter cross nicely, but Jesse Lingard swings haphazardly at the bouncing ball, and it bumps backwards from his thigh.

Wolves win a corner, but Diogo Jota is down for the moment after being caught awkwardly by a slipping Daniel James.
James was booked, remember, for a dive in the first half, and if perceived a certain way you could argue that he deserves a yellow for that. He’s caught Jota with his studs on the ankle. Inadvertent, yes, but he could have had few arguments had he received his marching orders.
The corner comes to nothing as Jota tries to run it off. He’s soon back on.

Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial sprint away from a two-pronged kick-off, curiously a couple of yards apart like U-15s playing a couple of age groups down, but these are professional footballers, and thus their attempts to pass around the tacklers in close proximity are very quickly shut down.
Wolves were pushed deeper and deeper in that half, which is the only real way to combat raw pace.
They’ve their own speedster to introduce – Adama Traore is going through a serious warmup and will be on for Matt Doherty, who is carrying a little knock. Traore at right wing-back has been tried a couple of times in the past, and he should at least be able to combat the pure athleticism Manchester United possess.
A very enjoyable 45 minutes of football, that, and a particularly good one for Manchester United. They’ve been excellent, on the front foot from the start, and threatening throughout thanks to a mobile and multi-faceted front four that has worked together wonderfully.
Wolves are still very much in the contest, though, without finding their best football, and despite seeing just 31% of possession, have looked bothersome in limited opportunities to get forward. They’ve also allowed just two shots on goal – they have real steel at the back to limit clear chances, and while they are just one goal behind they’ll be quietly confident of finding an equaliser at the very least.

Ryan Bennett’s back pass is awfully underweight and Anthony Martial is there before a sliding Willy Boly, but in leaping past his fellow Frenchman he loses his stride pattern and can only stand on the ball with Rui Patricio looking rather vulnerable.
