Wolves vs Manchester City prediction: How will Amazon Prime Premier League match play out today?

Manchester City just about kept their title hopes alive last time out with a win over Leicester and now sit just a point behind the Foxes and 11 behind leaders Liverpool.

The Reds still have a game in hand, but their advantage will appear a little less daunting to the champions now, given how well they played against Brendan Rodgers’s side.

Wolves present a tough test for City and their hopes of continuing to apply pressure to Jurgen Klopp’s side, having already beaten them this season at the Etihad.

Nuno’s side are just five points off fourth now, but face the arduous task of taking on City at home and then Liverpool 45 hours later.

What is the team news?

Kevin de Bruyne is fit despite a scare towards the end of the Leicester game, but could be rested to avoid the risk of another serious injury, while Sergio Aguero is not fit enough to play 90 minutes yet. David Silva remains out, while Ilkay Gundogan is a doubt and John Stones (hamstring) remains out.

Adama Traore proved his shoulder issue is not bothering him substantially with 90 minutes last time out against Norwich. Nuno has no fresh issues but could rotate given the intensity of two games against City and Liverpool inside 45 hours, so Max Kilman, Jesus Vallejo, Ruben Vinagre, Pedro Neto and Patrick Cutrone could all be handed a chance through rotation. Willy Boly (ankle), Morgan Gibbs-White (back) and Bruno Jordao (ankle) are all still out injured.

A really tricky game for the champions, given Wolves have proven to be a tough match-up for them in recent years and they are also in form. We expect goals here and City to prevail 3-2 and remain alive in the title race.
