Wisconsin Badgers video games: Jonathan Taylor leading the Heisman race – Bucky’s 5th Quarter

After mopping the floor with a sorry Eastern Michigan squad, the virtual Wisconsin Badgers (4-0 overall, 1-0 B1G) had a bye week before resuming conference play at ::OMINOUS MUSIC:: Northwestern. Before the bye week, the Badgers stayed put at No. 11 in the polls somehow still two spots behind a Michigan team that they waxed earlier in the season.

The Gophers, Badgers and Huskers are all tied for the B1G West lead, although Minnesota is 2-0 in conference while Wisconsin and Nebraska are only 1-0, so they should get the nod on actually being in “first” place. Michigan and Penn State lead the B1G East with a record of 1-1. No other B1G East team has a conference win so far, lmao.

Meanwhile, despite not playing the entire game against Eastern Michigan, Jonathan Taylor remains the leader in the Heisman Trophy race and also won the B1G Offensive Player of the Week award. Penn State FS Lamont Wade won the defensive honors after picking off two passes for the Nittany Lions in their win over Northwestern.

So, after completing my recruiting tasks I simulated through the bye week and checked out what the new top-25 rankings looked like prior to the game at Northwestern and…well, some things changed. Despite not playing, Wisconsin moved from No. 11 to No. 4 and is joined in the top-10 by No. 3 Michigan State and No. 7 Nebraska. There is bound to be another shakeup in the top-10 after this week because six of the teams face a fellow ranked opponent.

Can the Badgers travel to Evanston and avoid getting tripped up?

I AM SO NERVOUS FOR THIS GAME!
