Are you the sort of person to make your bed every day, tidy everything away and leave it as a place for relaxation?

You might want to look away now. These 10 bedrooms have been crowned the UK’s messiest.

They ran a nationwide photo competition to find the untidiest bedroom in the country – and these were judged to be the worse by bed and mattress specialist Bed SoS.

The winner was Anna Wrigley, from Kendal in Cumbria, who shared the picture of her room the morning after a night out, featuring the classic half-eaten takeaway.

Others in the top 10 include Philip Burch, who came in fourth place, with so much mess on the floor, he struggles to walk, and third place Melek Gil showed he still has Christmas decorations scattered across the room.

Of course, a few parents used the competition to share their kids’ messy bedrooms. Nothing says ‘tidy your room’ like an online shaming.

A spokesman for Bed SoS, said: ‘These pictures prove that we can sometimes let life get on top of us. Although it may seem like a chore, a tidy bedroom and a comfy bed, free of clutter, can have a huge impact on the quality of our sleep.

‘Hopefully, these pictures inspire you to give your bedroom a tidy, to ensure you get a good night’s rest.’

Let’s take a look at the top 10:

1: And the winner is… 24-year-old Anna Wrigley’s bedroom after a night out

Anna says she is very clean but she was disgusted by the mess her friend made. They were working in seasonal positions at the time and it was a residental room provided by the company.
