For all the green list uncertainty, we’re betting you’ve lost none of your get-up-and-go.

Which is why we’ve teamed up with lastminute.com to offer one lucky reader a seven-night luxury stay in Jersey this summer, including bed and breakfast at a five-star hotel, direct flights from London and private transfers.

You’re welcome!

So what to do on Britain’s largest Channel Island?

Go kayaking around its caves and coastline, spot dolphins and seals on thrilling Seafari RIB boat tours (which also whizz around the offshore islands) or immerse yourself in its rich history by exploring its castles, forts and fascinating World War II tunnels.

Jersey’s most famous export is TV detective drama Bergerac, which ran for nine series on primetime BBC1 between 1981 and 1991.

John Nettles shot to fame as Jim Bergerac, who worked for the fictitious Bureau des Étrangers. Fans of the show still descend on the island – and there are plans to make a modern-day spin on the classic.

Will they return to some of the top tourist attractions? Visitors flock to The Old Court House, the location of Diamond Lil’s bar in the original series. With the feel of a galleon’s dining quarters, you can sit down and order Bergerac’s favourite tipple from the bar.

In St Helier’s town centre, you’ll find Royal Square, which now boasts trendy eateries and al fresco terraces. Or head for St Brelade’s Bay to remind yourself of the sweeping views from Charlie Hungerford’s Windward House.

You might fancy something more chilled out, of course – in which case just hit the beach and soak up the sun (the trip can be taken any time between July and September, including school holidays, you lucky things) then kick back at a seaside bistro for some fine oysters, crab and lobster.
