Arsenal new boy William Saliba was spotted in first team training on Wednesday as the Gunners prepare for their FA Cup final clash against Chelsea.

The Frenchman signed for the club in 2019 but stayed with Saint-Étienne for a further 12 months as part of the £27million agreement.

Saliba missed out on Saint-Etienne’s cup final clash against PSG last weekend after Arsenal refused to extend his stay at the club.

That’s afforded Saliba to join up with his new team-mates and the defender was seen in training with Mikel Arteta’s first team today as they prepare for their clash against Chelsea.

Saliba is unable to feature against the Blues, which is unfortunate for an injury-hit Gunners.

Pablo Mari and Shkodran Mustafi are both set to miss the final with injuries, meaning Arteta could pair Rob Holding and David Luiz in a back four.

Alternatively, Sead Kolasinac or Kieran Tierney could be used as a third centre-back alongside the pair.
