Will Smith's brutal dressing down from Margot Robbie exposed amid affair bombshell

Hollywood actor Will Smith’s relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith has come under scrutiny this week after details of her affair with US singer August Alsina emerged on a ‘Red Table Talk’ session. In an apparent response overnight, romance rumours have reemerged about the 51-year-old and Margot Robbie, 30, when both of their names trended on Twitter – which led to comments about their friendship online. Speculation about the pair first arose in 2013 and continued after they starred in DC Comics film adapation ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘Focus’ – the claims were strongly denied by the Australian actress. Instead, unearthed accounts show a different side to their relationship where Margot blasted Will during one of their first meetings that led to her being cast in a blockbuster movie.

Margot revealed details about her hostility with future co-star Will after she travelled halfway across the world to see the star, only for him to be late.

The ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ actress described the experience as the “craziest 24 hours of my life” during a 2015 interview with Entertainment Weekly.

She had just returned to a hostel after a week backpacking around an island off Croatia with her brother, when the star was told she had an audition for Will’s movie ‘Focus’ and had to leave immediately.

Margot recalled being “soaking wet” and having had “no sleep” when her agent told her to catch a catamaran 20 minutes later so she could get the casting call in New York in time.

She caught the vessel but had a nightmare journey from there onwards where she had to wait six hours in the airport to fly to France and then another six hours there.

Upon her arrival in The Big Apple, the exhausted star was informed that her bags had been “lost” during the journey and despite her tiredness went straight to the audition.

Margot remembered: “My shoes are wet, my denim shorts are damp, I’ve got no makeup, no clothes, and I’d calculated that in the last 50-something hours I had six hours sleep in total.

“I walk into the audition and it turns out Will was ‘running late’.”

Margot was furious at his lack of punctuality considering her mammoth trip and when he finally emerged she couldn’t hold her tongue and lashed out at the Hollywood star.

She recalled: “He comes in and says, ‘Sorry I’m late, I was coming from Queens,’ and I look at Will and I was like, ‘Yeah? Well, I just came from an island off Croatia and I’m here on time.’”

Despite the blunt remarks, Margot landed the lead part Jess Barrett in the  2015 hit ‘Focus’, an aspiring femme fatale who is taught be a better conwoman by Nicky Spurgeon, played by Will.

She revealed her surprise that producers liked her audition considering the exhaustion she contended with on the day and made a cheeky quip about landing the role.

Margot said: “I was like, ‘So I got the job because I looked like s*** and called Will Smith a d***?’ It worked out well. Acting 101, I guess.”
