Wilfried Zaha admits he is unsure if he will join Arsenal after Crystal Palace rejected their opening bid of £40 million.

The 26-year-old is one of Unai Emery’s top targets for the summer transfer window but the Gunners face a major struggle in reaching an agreement with Palace.

Arsenal’s summer budget is around £40m but Palace are demanding £80 million for Zaha, who signed a five-year contract extension last August.

Zaha scored in Ivory Coast’s 4-1 win over Namibia at the Africa Cup of Nations on Monday and after the match the forward was asked about a potential switch to Arsenal.

‘I don’t know we’ll see in the future,’ Zaha told the BBC.

‘I have no comment on it the only thing that’s on my mind now is trying to win this cup.

‘I’m fixated on is how far we go in the tournament.’

On Tuesday, The Sun reported that Palace have labelled Arsenal’s opening offer of £40m as ’embarrassing’, while the Gunners also asked about a potential discount if they were able to pay part of Zaha’s transfer fee early.

Zaha’s brother, Judicael, has also pleaded with Palace to reach an agreement with Arsenal.

‘It is my brother’s dream to play for Arsenal,’ he said.

‘Given all that Wilfried has given to Crystal Palace, I hope Palace will see their way to agreeing a deal with Arsenal.’
