Why travel experts ALWAYS fly with this one carry-on item every time

Nowadays it’s difficult to understand airline cabin policies, with many companies bumping up their prices.

But travelling with a carry-on doesn’t have to be stressful, and it could be made simpler if you’re choosing the right items.

So if you’re trying to go stress-free on your next travels, here’s why you should consider this one item.

Travel expert Andrew D’Amours has revealed the one thing he won’t fly without and it’s so smart you’ll want to invest straight away.

“It’s so much more convenient to be able to move around ”

The founder of travel deals site Flytrippers claims his go-to piece of luggage is the backpack.

He told MarketWatch: “It’s so much more convenient to be able to move around easily whenever and where I want – unencumbered.”

The backpack is perfect when it comes to queuing up with your boarding pass at the departure gate and easy to carry around.

David Scotland, from Outdoor World Direct, explained to Express.co.uk: “Some airlines make passengers check in their hand luggage (free of charge) if it is a small suitcase.

“This means waiting around unnecessarily to collect baggage unnecessarily at arrivals.”

You’re more likely to avoid attention with a bag on your back than you are with a suitcase.

This means you are less likely to be asked to put your bag in the hold, which can infuriate travellers who want a smooth journey.

Another way to beat the rules when it comes to hand luggage is to choose your travelling clothes wisely and make the most of pockets.

A traveller told Martin Lewis’ Money Saving Expert website: “We always wear light jackets with as many pockets as possible.

“Put sandwiches, water, etc, for the flight in pockets, along with paperbacks, rolled-up socks and undies, and any food items that will fit in them.”

They also advised against packing any towels as they are provided “just about everywhere”.
