Lineker will present the Sports Personality of the Year Awards on Sunday night alongside Clare Balding and Gabby Logan.
The main prize will be given to either Manchester City footballer Lewis Hamilton, athletes Dina Asher-Smith and Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, Wales rugby captain Alun Wyn Jones and England cricketer Ben Stokes.
