Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is a doubt for Sunday’s clash against Everton after being ruled out of tonight’s game against Club Brugge with a thigh injury.

The Frenchman’s been in fine form in recent weeks and has scored in his last three games for the Red Devils, including last week’s 1-1 draw against tonight’s Belgian opponents.

Martial had been expected to start at Old Trafford and was with the rest of the squad at the Lowry Hotel this afternoon.

However, RMC report that Martial has a ‘slight’ thigh injury that has kept him out of the squad and he now faces a race against time to be fit for Sunday’s trip to Goodison Park.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed in his pre-match interview that he’s unsure when Martial will return and that the injury was sustained in the win against Watford.

‘He didn’t feel right after training yesterday,’ said Solskjaer.

‘He walked off during training. He’s injured. Hopefully it won’t be too bad. I don’t know how long it will be.’
