Vicky tells Callum that her brother Chris, an ex-army colleague and friend, has tragically died.

A shaken Callum tries to process the news as Vicky drops another bombshell on him. What is it?

Vicky then encourages Callum to come along to Chris’ memorial service the next day. The pair then say an emotional goodbye to each other, which Callum’s fiancée Whitney Dean spots, and is left wondering who the stranger is.

In tomorrow night’s episode, Callum will be seen struggling to focus at work, with his mind on Chris.

He ends up walking out of the funeral parlour unannounced and goes to the memorial. But it ends up being too much for him and an overwhelmed Callum quickly leaves and rushes back to the Square.

Things aren’t much better there though as he is confronted by Whitney as he tries to get his thoughts together. He’s floored when she asks him if he’s cheating on her, but eventually reveals that his friend from the army has died.

Whitney tries her best to support him, but a conflicted Callum struggles to hold it together and head backs to the memorial where a bit secret is revealed.

Filming pictures released back in May showed actor Tony Clay filming the memorial scenes.

Callum briefly left Walford in February to go to Iraq, but since he’s been back, his behaviour has been erratic, with it becoming clear he’s hiding something.

Fans have been convinced he has been lying about being a war hero and these images seem to suggest it was Chris who saved him and not the other way round.

In the pictures Highway is seen being comforted by a woman, who could perhaps be Chris’s sister and she is seen handing him some letters.

During an episode from earlier this year, Mick and Linda Carter threw Highway a party to welcome him home, and punters in the Vic asked him to share a story from his time in the army.

The lad recalled meeting a child who was playing with friends before a bomb went off, however there appeared to be holes in his story that Robbie was keen to question.

Callum – who is nicknamed Halfway – suddenly said he needed air and walked out to the Square, where Mick came and met him and had an odd exchange about him being a hero.
