READING and Leeds Festival is commencing this weekend, with headlining acts including everyone from the Foo Fighters and US rap star Post Malone.

Who’s headlining Reading and Leeds Festival?

It has been announced that Foo Fighters, The 1975, Post Malone and Twenty One Pilots will be headlining the 2019 Reading and Leeds Festival.

Notably, there are no female headliners despite the festival attracting criticism over the years.

The 1975 will warm the headline slot in Reading on Friday, August 23, when the event kicks off and it will all come to an end with Foo Fighters on Sunday.

While Post Malone will be taking the Saturday slot.

In Leeds, Foo Fighters will headline the first evening, with The 1975 on Saturday and Post Malone on Sunday.

The news was shared on BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday, November 21.

When and where will Reading and Leeds Festival be?

The festival will start THIS WEEKEND – on Friday, August 23, and end on Sunday, August 25 – so it will be during the bank holiday weekend as usual.

The event consists of two simultaneous music events in different parts of England.

That means, as always, there will be two locations available for festival-goers.

The Reading and Leeds Festivals will take place in Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Leeds’ Bramham Park.

What are the stage names at Reading and Leeds Festival?

There are multiple stages at Reading and Leeds Festival, playing host to a variety of acts.

The names of the stages are as follows:

  • Main Stage
  • BBC Radio 1 Stage
  • BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage
  • The Pit/The Lock Up
  • Festival Republic Stage
  • BBC Radio 1Xtra Stage
  • Reading/Leeds Alternative Stage
  • Relentless After Dark (Leeds)

Where can I buy Reading and Leeds Festival tickets?

Tickets for Reading on Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25, have all sold out but you can still get day tickets for the Reading part.

You could have got your hands on tickets via the festival’s official website or TicketMaster.

Friday Day passes for Reading were £69.50, with weekend passes setting you back £205, excluding the online booking fee of £16.40.

Leeds had tickets available for each day. Friday was priced at £74.50, with Saturday and Sunday at £69.50, all with an additional £7 fee.

A weekend camping ticket was also on sale for £205, plus £16.40 fee.

Festival-goers could also purchase extras like access to lockers and VIP toilets, which came with an additional price.
