Who would you nominate for our Made In Scotland Awards?

A “world class renewables business” was the winner of overall winner of Insider’s Made In Scotland Awards 2019.

Orbital Marine Power was selected by our independent judging panel for its “potential to showcase Scotland on the world stage”.

And in fact the company went on to produce 13.8 gigawatt hours of power to the National Grid in 2019 – almost double the amount it had previously.

Insider launched its Made In Scotland Award to celebrate exactly this kind of innovation and contribution to business and the economy.

We are again partnering with the University of Strathclyde’s Advanced Forming Research Centre, a champion of innovation in manufacturing.

The awards are open to businesses of all types that are ‘making waves’ in their sector.

Orbital built on the strength of engineering in Scotland but winners also include companies in food and drink and life sciences as well.

We also celebrate innovators and innovations, inventors and inventions and exporters who are boosting Scotland’s reputation abroad.

Do you know a business or an individual who should be celebrated for their contribution?
