Who won Love Island 2019? Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea are crowned champions of series five

Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea were crowned the winners of Love Island 2019.

The couple came top in the public vote, with Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague coming in second place and Ovie Soko and India Reynolds finishing in third place

Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins came in fourth place.

After receiving the £50,000 envelope, O’Shea decided to split the £50,000 cash prize between him and his partner, giving them £25,000 each.

Last year’s series was won by Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, who landed their own ITVBe spin-off series before confirming that they had parted ways in April 2019.

ITV confirmed earlier this month that Love Island will return early in 2020 for a winter series, with another season following in the traditional summer slot, in response to a “record breaking year.”

The additional series will be filmed in a brand new villa in Cape Town, South Africa.

“Love Island has proven yet again to be the perfect formula that engages younger audiences,” Paul Mortimer, head of digital channels and acquisitions at ITV, said.

“In response to this viewer appetite, a new batch of young singletons will deliver some highly anticipated post-Christmas romance and drama from our new and luxurious location.”

The show was viewed by more than six million people at its peak this summer.
