Sean Fletcher is one of the presenters currently holding the fort on Good Morning Britain while Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid take a well-earned break from TV for the summer.

Alongside Charlotte Hawkins, Kate Garraway, Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray, Sean will be manning the desk in the GMB studio while Piers and Susanna take time off.

The usual weekday presenter line up will return to TV in September.

But who is Sean Fletcher and where will you have seen him on TV before?

Who is Sean Fletcher, how old is he and who is his wife?

Sean Fletcher, 46. is an American-British journalist who is best known for his work on Countryfile as well as Good Morning Britain.

The father of two is married and his wife, Luned Tonderai is a TV producer, director, and documentary maker.

Luned, who is Welsh, and Sean have been married for 21 years, having tied the knot in 1999.

The couple have a son, Reuben, 17 and daughter Lili, 22.

Reuben stepped into the spotlight alongside his father in 2018, when Sean made an episode for BBC Panorama called Kids in Crisis, looking at his son’s battle with diagnosed OCD and the plight of children with mental health issues.

Ruben was affected so badly by OCD that he spent six months in hospital and missed a year of school while Luned and Sean fought for 18 months for their son to receive the right level of treatment.

The TV star has run the London Marathon twice, first in 2017 and for a second time in 2018 for Young Minds UK, a mental health charity that helps children.

Sean became a journalist in 1998 and as well as presenting BBC Countryfile and Good Morning Britain he has also presented shows including Sunday Morning Live and Songs of Praise.

He has also fronted a variety of factual programmes and documentaries such as BBC Two’s Food Detectives, a documentary on Wales & the Slave Trade and most recently a programme called Wonders of the Coast Path for ITV.

A lover of the outdoors, nature and animals, Sean is also described by the BBC as: ‘a committed Christian who speaks fluent Welsh, sings and plays the violin and piano.’
