Roman, 26, was born in Los Angeles and has an older sister called Harley Moon.

His dad, Martin, was the bassist with 80s’ legends Spandau Ballet, while mum Shirlie was formerly a member of Wham!.

At the age of 15 he signed a record deal with Universal Music and has since gone on to model for clothing giants Topshop and ASOS.

He started his own Youtube channel in 2014 racking up more than 37,000 subscribers and has presented for television and online channels across the world.

Roman’s godfather was the late George Michael, and he conducted an interview with the pop icon’s former bandmates Andrew Ridgeley, Helen ‘Pepsi’ DeMacque and mum Shirlie backstage at this year’s BRIT Awards following the trio’s emotional tribute to George.

He’s said in the past that he’d be thrilled to have half as much success as his dad has had and described how he looks up to both of his parents.

What is Roman Kemp most famous for?

Famous relations aside, Roman has worked hard to create a path for himself in his own right.

He currently presents a successful breakfast show on Capital FM between 6am-10am Monday to Friday and 6am-9am on Saturday mornings.

The 24-year-old is joined by co-presenter Vick Hope, replacing previous hosts Dave Berry, George Shelley and Lilah Parsons who had their last show on April 7.

Last year, Roman became The X Factor’s digital presenter and also had his own slot during the Xtra Factor live shows.

He also presented 4Music’s Trending Live and children’s channel Nickelodeon’s NickKicks.

He was also on the red carpet at the Brit Awards 2018, where he hosted and interviewed celebs.

When will Roman take part in Soccer Aid?

It was announced in May that Roman would compete in the forthcoming Soccer Aid for Unicef match on June 16.

He’ll join the World XI team alongside Didier Drogba, singer Jack Savoretti, Westlife band member Nicky Byrne and plenty more.

Given that this will be his first time taking part in the event – which was co-founded by Robbie Williams – Roman says he’s looking forward to playing against some of the biggest names in showbiz.

He gushed: “I’m so excited to make my debut for Soccer Aid for Unicef 2019 and can’t wait to get on the pitch at Stamford Bridge.

“I couldn’t quite believe it when I got the call, it’s a dream come true. I’ve watched Soccer Aid for years and as an Arsenal fan I can’t believe I’m going to be playing alongside so many legendary players such as Robert Pires.”

ITV1 will broadcast the annual event on June 16 at 7.30pm.

What did Roman say about BTS?

Roman has apologised to BTS fans after they felt he insulted the K-pop band’s song featuring Nicki Minaj.

After playing Idol on his radio show in September he was heard saying: “That was BTS and Nicki Minaj, that noise you were just hearing there.”

Roman has since taken to Twitter to apologise to anyone he may have offended with his comments.

Does Roman Kemp have a tattoo?

The host was tattooed by none other than Ed Sheeran while he presented live from the Capital studio in February, with disastrous results.

The Shape of You singer scrawled “Ed Woz Ere” onto Roman’s leg, and if that wasn’t bad enough he made a mistake, adding “2k7” instead of “2k17”.

In another moment of inspired radio savagery, Roman pranked his Capital stablemate Marvin Humes by swearing “live” on air.

The stitch up saw Roman pretend they were on air and drop an F-bomb before having a full-blown meltdown.

The former JLS man could only watch on stunned as the action played out but saw the funny side when it was time for the big reveal.
