Who is Lucie Donlan? Love Island 2019 star’s type and celebrity crush revealed

Love Island 2019 is just a week away and we can now reveal who will be jetting off for a long hot summer…

Meet Lucie Donlan – a surfer from Newquay.

She’s heading to the villa to find her perfect guy and as she doesn’t believe in girl code – it looks like she won’t let anyone get in her way.

Who is Lucie Donlan?

21 year old Lucie from Newquay describes herself as diferent from the usual girls who go on the show: “I’m more into sports as well as being glam”.

Lucie prefers to hang out with guys as they are “less drama” and is not a fan of spending time with “girly girls”,  which makes the Love Island villa an interesting choice to spend a summer.

When quizzed about her personality traits the blonde said she “can cut boys off pretty quickly” but is “kind, thoughtful and bubbly”.

What is her type on paper?

Lucie is hoping to couple up with a sporty guy with the “typical surfer look” and finds arrogance a huge turn off.

Her celebrity crush is Instagram  star Jay Alvarrez, however she has spent time with famous faces Joey Essex and Love Island’s Charlie Frederick.

When asked about the Essex superstar she said “Lookswise I wouldn’t go for that kind of look but I do like his personality. We said that we would go on a date but it didn’t happen.”

Has the Love Island star cheated?

Loyal was the buzz word of last season, so where does the new Islander stand on this issue?

Lucie admits to having a “wandering eye” and has cheated in the past because she got on with someone else better.

However, this was a few years ago and “she wouldn’t do it again.”

When is comes to stealing another girl’s man, she has no qualms as when asked her opinion on girl code she said “I don’t think there really is one.”

What’s changed in Love Island for 2019?

Love Island bosses are plotting some major shakeups for the 2019 show.

They are reportedly scrapping rival villa Casa Amor, which sparked explosive scenes for two years on the show.

Instead, this year ITV2 bosses want to keep new islanders on their toes and they also want viewers to expect the unexpected, which involves creating all-new challenges for contestants.

The Love Island cast are also set to see their pay increase.According to reports to “compensate” for giving up time to be on the show, ITV bosses have agreed to pay the islanders £250 a week.  That’s £50 a week more than 2018, who accepted £200 a week to cover their bills, rent and utilities while appearing on the show.

Like 2018, the show is likely to last eight weeks meaning the grand final could be around July 29, 2019.

Who will be this year’s winning couple? Stay tuned!
